Driven by rising energy costs and a desire for more comfortable, convenient and economic heating sources, the installation of hydronic radiant heating in the U.S. has grown at more than 15% over the last ten years because it offers superior comfort and energy savings to consumers. In northern Europe, hydronic radiant heating continues to be the dominant heating method.
Watts manufactures engineered hydronic radiant heating and snow melting systems as well as electric radiant floor warming systems and PEX tubing for residential and commercial installations. Watts also provides a broad line of boiler safety and control products for solar, ground and wall-hung boilers, as well as a broad range of manifold collector systems and valve accessories for the hydronic heating market in Europe and North America.
In today’s environment, we are experiencing increased demand for high quality water. An expanding population combined with a fixed supply of clean water and heightened consumer awareness continues to add to this demand.
Watts provides high quality drinking and process water through its broad range of reverse osmosis (RO) water purification systems, ranging from under-sink residential systems to high-volume commercial systems. Watts backflow prevention devices protect the water supply against the reverse flow of water in piping systems, thus ensuring the quality of your drinking water.
With a limited supply of potable water, municipalities continue to increase the price of water supplied as well as the price for wastewater discarded for treatment. Watts offers a broad, proven line of water pressure regulators to conserve water for home and industry while still providing comfortable levels of water pressure at the point of use.
Watts state-of-the-art ZeroWaste reverse osmosis (RO) systems provide bottled-quality water to homeowners, without wasting any water. Watts hot water recirculating systems deliver instant hot water at the tap, conserving water and energy. And Watts automatic control valves ensure conservation in municipal water systems.
Unless properly channeled and tempered, water can pose a serious hazard to those who use it. From their earliest days manufacturing steam pressure regulators and temperature and pressure safety relief valves, Watts companies have had the safety of their customers foremost in mind.
Watts works closely with standards setting agencies and plumbing and building code officials to develop plumbing regulations that maximize the safety of its customers. In addition to its traditional line of safety valves, Watts provides an extensive offering of thermostatic hot water mixing valves, hydronic heating system safety units and hot water safety products.
Effective use of water requires proper control devices. Potable water, fire protection, irrigation, hydronic heating and wastewater systems depend on these devices to maintain adequate flow rates, and safe and proper operating temperatures.
To help customers control the state and flow of water, Watts provides one of the most extensive lines of flow control devices in the world. These range from small quarter-turn water supply stops used in baths and kitchens to the very large (110″) double-flanged butterfly valves supplied by Watts in China to the Three Gorges Dam project on the Yangtze River. Watts devices offer the right solutions for its customers’ residential and commercial water control needs.
