The History of the District

The North Perry Avenue Water District was formed on November 24, 1942. The initial water system was established in 1944 by the formation and construction of Utility Local Improvement District (ULID) No.1. The original project consisted of construction of approximately 6.6 miles of water mains along Perry Avenue from Stoneway to Riddell and adjacent streets.

The District Today

North Perry Avenue Water District has grown in area from approximately 1 square mile in 1944 to 12 square miles today and now serves more than 7400 connections. Our service area encompasses several miles of shoreline to the East and extends 1 to 2 miles inland to the West. The District operates 10 production wells with a capacity of more than 5 million gallons per day and maintains more than 100 miles of pipeline.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The North Perry Avenue Water District is a nonprofit, special purpose district that provides water resource management within its service area to deliver a safe and reliable supply of high-quality water to meet present and future needs in an environmentally sensitive and economically responsible way.

Consumer Confidence Report

North Perry Avenue Water District’s Consumer Confidence Report for the previous year is generated every June and sent to all customers of the District by July 1st.

At Eshraghi Nursery, we have a passion for plants, and a desire to share our knowledge about our material. Selection

You will find that we possess a love of maples, a fondness for conifers, and interest in new plants of all kinds. Each year we produce a handful of new varieties to our selections because they have been proven performers. We do not introduce new plants to our line up easily, because we only want quality introductions, not flash-in-the-pan or overrated, over-marketed duds. We currently produce over 60 varieties of Japanese maples, selected for color, habit and unique characteristics. Our grafted specialty conifers, especially new Pines, Cedars and Chamaecyparis are increasing in quantity. We focus on outstanding color, better habit or improved survivability. Also, we offer consistent quality on the traditional, indispensible staple plants, such as Arborvitae, Azaleas, Boxwoods, Hydrangeas, Junipers, Spiraea, and Pines.

Quality

Quality is always a primary goal. We focus on superior cleanliness and orderliness, from grafting through field production and can yards. Our topiaries, spirals, poms and poodles are trimmed often by a few highly experienced team members to maintain the identical forms over the years. Additionally, we offer cedar boxes from 12” octagon (2 to 3’ plant) to 30” (8-10’ tree) for added presentation to attractive specimens, dwarf varieties or special growth forms.

ASHTA Chemicals Inc. opened its corporate offices in Ashtabula, Ohio in 1992, although, under previous owners, this site has been operating since the early 1960′s. Since then, ASHTA management has taken a number of steps which positioned the company for profitable growth. These steps include the purchase of Olin’s potassium products business in 1993, designing and implementing a closed loop, zero discharge water treatment system for this Lake Erie site in 1994-5, and construction of a new potassium carbonate plant in 1995. Additionally, our product distribution system was significantly expanded in 1998 to provide ample product in key chemical markets. The liquid form of our potassium hydroxide can be found in soaps, at municipal water treatment facilities, in deicers used at our airports, in alkaline batteries and in fertilizers, to name a few.

When dried into flake or compressed into briquettes, our potassium hydroxide finds uses in the bio-diesel industry, in the formulation of industrial and institutional cleaners and in the oil and gas industry as purifying agents.

Converted into either liquid or anhydrous potassium carbonates, our product finds its way into photo chemicals, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, oil and gas drilling fluids, dairy feed supplements, specialty glass, detergents, food and pharmaceuticals.

Rinse and fill with sample solution 3 times. Fill with solution again, then take measurement. We recommend you recalibrate the pen using the scoop to retain accuracy of ±1%.

There are 100 million couples worldwide living with infertility. In the industrial world this equals one couple out of seven. This situation is often experienced as a personal tragedy and reduced quality of life for the afflicted families.

More than 3000 fertility clinics in the world performs over 1.3 million treatments every year. Vitrolife supports fertility clinics with a complete line of effective and quality assured IVF products. Transplantation

The Transplantation product area works with solutions and systems to evaluate and maintain organs outside the body in order to select usable organs and keep them in optimal condition while waiting for transplantation.

There is a world wide shortage of organ donors, leading to a mortality rate of 20-25% among people on the waiting lists for transplantation. To make things even worse, for patients in need of a lung transplant, the utilization of donor lungs is only about 15-20% from standard criteria donors.

The Vitrolife solution Perfadex significantly increases the survival rates and diminishes the risk of organ rejection in lung transplantation. It has a 95% share of the world market. With STEEN Solution the available lungs for transplantation increase more than five times. And the method will be developed further for use with other organs e.g. liver.
