Yoder Industries is a privately owned and operated manufacturer of aluminum and zinc die castings. Our company was incorporated in 1956 under the sole ownership of J.B. Yoder.

Yoder Industries, Inc., was first located in a rental space at the Linden Davis Building in downtown Dayton, Ohio. J.B. Yoder designed and built the first die cast machine used by Yoder Industries and produced inflator bodies for navy life preservers (a product Yoder still manufacturers today).

In 1960, J.B. Yoder built a facility at 2520 Needmore Road.

Donald F. Yoder acquired ownership of Yoder Industries in 1986. The company functions under the auspices of a board of directors, consisting of president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.

In 1997 the second facility was purchased, Dayton Die Cast located at 3009 Production Court in Dayton, Ohio.

Today, Yoder has emerged into a complete full-service die casting facility. Under the third generation’s ownership, Yoder offers 20 die casting machines in two facilities. We serve more than 30 different product markets and specialize in both automotive and non-automotive applications.

Yoder serves both first- and second-tier automotive companies with specialization in automotive castings for rubber to metal applications. Yoder has been recognized across North America for providing excellent quality, delivery and pricing to the automotive industry; specifically, automotive chassis, transmission, engine-mount, and powertrain casting applications.

Automated equipment and Visi-trak shot monitoring systems have brought efficiency to a new level, while maintaining cost competitiveness to our customers. Both facilities are certified to QS-9000 and ISO-9002.

Yoder now offers complete advanced design engineering assistance to our customers and comprehensive advanced quality planning.

Lawrence University was ranked 60th among 236 national liberal arts colleges and universities in U.S. News & World Report’s 2012 “America’s Best Colleges” report released today (9/13).

U.S. News’ annual guide combines subjective information such as peer assessment with a statistical analysis of various factors it considers indicative of academic excellence — graduation rates, student retention and acceptance rates, among others — to determine its rankings.

Lawrence had strong showings in several of the categories used in the ranking methodology, including number of incoming students ranked in the top 10 percent of their high school class (43 percent), freshman retention rate (88 percent), graduation rate (73 percent), full-time faculty (93 percent), alumni giving rate (40 percent) and classes with less than 20 students (78%). Only 16 schools had a higher percentage of classes with an enrollment of 20 or less, a reflection of Lawrence’s commitment to individualized learning and small classes.

Lists and rankings of a numerous other niche categories are included in the guide. Lawrence was ranked 24th nationally in a survey of guidance counselors from America’s best high schools who were asked which liberal arts colleges they think offer the best education to their students.
